Annual Island Fishing Derby

This is a great way to introduce friends and family to the joy of fishing! This derby promotes catch and release. Registered participants are asked to take photos of their catches and submit photos and details by email to the St. Joseph Island Anglers and Hunters. Photos are reviewed daily and uploaded to the tournament gallery leaderboard with categories for both kids and adults. Cash prizes to be won!
This fishing derby will cover any Ontario waters in contact with St. Joseph Island including waters in contact with the north shore from Bar River to Thessalon and be open to all levels of anglers from kids fishing from a dock to anglers fishing in boats.
The derby will run from 6:00 am on June 29th, 2024 to Noon on July 7th, 2024 to coincide with the Ontario Government’s free fishing week.
